Encounter Types

Patient encounters are comprised of a combination of tabs designed to support a variety of patient care workflows. The tabs available for each encounter type are predetermined; however, the Clinic Administrator can enable or disable encounter types and certain tabs within an encounter to further customize the clinic workflow.

The order in which tabs display in an encounter can be customized at the user or CLINIC level.

  • To customize encounter types and tabs, go to Tools > Preferences > CLINIC > Encounter Types > Begin Edit
  • To customize the tab order in an encounter, go to Tools > Preferences > CLINIC or [user] > Encounter Types > Begin Edit
