Confidential Blank Note

1. Go to Go to Chart > Chart Tools > Confidential Blank Note
2. Populate the Clinical Date or leave defaulted to the current date
   1. The Clinical Date cannot be set to a future date
3. Location displays the user's default location but can be changed if more than one location is available
4. Type a description of the note in the Summary field or click Template to select and apply an encounter template
5. Type any additional information in the body text field
6. Select an Access Level to determine which users will have access to the encounter note
7. Click Finalize

Finalized Confidential Blank Note encounters can be viewed in the Past Encounters tab of the patient chart only by users with the appropriate access levels.

If Confidential Blank Note is not visible in the Chart Tools menu, the user does not have the required permission to create this encounter type. Users must have an Access Level of Restricted Chart Entry or Full Chart to create a Confidential Blank Note encounter.
