The C‑CDA Reconciliation tool has been enhanced to improve its usability and modularity when incorporating clinical data from a C‑CDA file into a patient's chart. Users can move problems, allergies, and medications from the C‑CDA file to the patient's chart from the Import Summary window or individually review and exclude sections of the C‑CDA file if there is no clinically appropriate data to incorporate.
The design update also includes alerts to prevent adding a duplicate problem, allergy, or medication to the patient chart.
The C‑CDA Reconciliation Tool is accessible from Chart Tools, from the Tools Menu, and when storing a message attachment from the PPDX Inbox.
Workflows for the Promoting Interoperability (PI) measures that utilize the C‑CDA Reconciliation Tool have been updated to reflect the new tool design. The following workflows have been affected:
- MIPS PI: Support Electronic Referral Loops by Receiving and Incorporating Health Information
- Click here to view the retired measure workflow
- Medicaid PI: Objective 7: Health Information Exchange, Measure 2 and Measure 3
- Click here to view the retired measure workflow
These workflow updates will only affect electronic summary of care records incorporated from October 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019. Report data from January 1, 2019 – September 30, 2019 for these measures will not be impacted by these changes.
