2021 MIPS Promoting Interoperability Measures
For the 2021 performance year, ECs Eligible Clinician: a Medicare provider who qualifies for MIPS participation must submit data for a single set of measures in order to earn a score greater than zero for the MIPS Promoting Interoperability (PI) category. ECs may also choose to attest to a bonus measure to add extra points to their MIPS PI score.
Workflows have been developed to assist Sevocity users with the 2021 MIPS Promoting Interoperability measures. Although there may be other methods capable of meeting the measures, only the recommended workflows are approved to meet the measure requirements.
These workflows are designed as a supplemental resource and are not a substitute for the program eligibility and requirements provided by CMS. For full program requirements, refer to CMS’s Quality Payment Program website.
As part of the 2021 Performance Year attestation process, ECs must:
- Submit a Yes to the Prevention of Information Blocking Attestations
- Submit a Yes to the ONC Direct Review Attestation, if applicable
- Submit a Yes that they have completed the Security Risk Analysis measure during the calendar year in which the MIPS performance period occurs
These attestations are required in addition to the submission of report data for the MIPS PI measure set.
