eCQM reports for the 2021 performance year are now available in addition to updated measure workflows. To access the new reports, go to Reports > eCQMs > 2021. Click here to view the new eCQM workflows.
Note: the following report has been retired from Sevocity for the 2021 performance year:
-
CMS 75v9: Children Who Have Dental Decay or Cavities
The measure logic for CMS 75v9 was updated to limit the eligible encounter types to clinical oral evaluations expressed by Code on Dental Procedures and Nomenclature (CDT codes) only.
The Depression Screening - Adult and Depression Screening - Pediatric Standard Flowsheets have been retired and replaced with two new standard flowsheets:
-
Adult Depression Screening
-
Adolescent Depression Screening
The new flowsheets are used to record depression screening tools used with patients, the results of the screening, and referral activity based on the results.
Any historical data documented for a patient in a retired flowsheet will remain in the flowsheet for viewing but can no longer be updated. If reporting on CMS 2v10, the retired flowsheets are no longer applicable for the 2021 report. The most current measure workflow can be viewed here.
New features have been added to Clinical Content for use in the Past History tab. These enhancements support the new eCQM exclusion workflow for frailty device use.
Two new hardcoded nodes are available for use as part of the patient's Medical History: Oxygen use and Respiratory assistive device.
Clinic Administrators can add the new nodes at the CLINIC and user level by selecting the Past History category from the Clinical Content Tool in Preferences. The new items will display in the hardcoded node bank in the left-hand column. Select a node and click the button to add the node to the Medical History tree.
Additionally, a new list item has been added to the Activities of Daily Living hardcoded node for use in a patient's Social History. Bedridden is a new option available in the Mobilizing/Moving selection list.
For clinics currently using the Activities of Daily Living hardcoded node, the node must be removed from the Social History tree and re-added to update the Mobilizing/Moving selection list
The following Standard Flowsheets have been changed to support requirements related to the 2021 eCQMs:
BMI - Adult
-
Value component removed: "Dietician" removed from the BMI Referral to selection list
-
Changes affect workflow for CMS 69v9: Preventive Care and Screening: Body Mass Index (BMI) Screening and Follow-Up Plan
Falls Risk Screening
-
Field removed: Patient exempt due to the following reason
-
Changes affect workflow for CMS 139v9: Falls: Screening for Future Falls Risk
Any historical data documented for a patient in a removed or changed field will remain in the flowsheet for viewing but can no longer be updated. If reporting on an eCQM that utilizes one of the updated flowsheets, review the most current measure workflow to assess potential changes to documentation for quality reporting.
