Release Notes December 31, 2024

The following changes have been made to the Coding tab to align with annual CPT coding updates:

New Visit Types:

• Telemedicine: Audio-Video - Established Patient

• Telemedicine: Audio-Video - New Patient

• Telemedicine: Audio-Only - Established Patient

• Telemedicine: Audio-Only - New Patient

• Telemedicine: Brief Synchronous Comm (Virtual Check-In)

Changes to encounters with a designated place of service of Skilled Nursing Facility:

• CPT code descriptions were updated

Changes to Other visit type:

• Dialysis: Hemodialysis, Dialysis: Miscellaneous Dialysis Procedures, Dialysis: ESRD, patients <2 years old, Dialysis: ESRD, patients 2-11 years old, Dialysis: ESRD, patients 12-19 years old, and Dialysis: ESRD, patients 20 years and older categories were added

• Remote Therapeutic Monitoring Services was renamed Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) and CPT codes in this category were updated

• CPT code descriptions were updated in the Hospital Inpatient or Observation Services, incl Admission and Discharge, Nursing Facility, Initial, Per Day, and Nursing Facility, Subsequent, Per Day categories

• CPT codes were updated in the Care Plan Oversight, Physician, Psychotherapy, and Speech Therapy Services categories

• Online Medical Evaluation and Telephone categories were removed

Clinics with the Coding tab enabled on Telephone encounters will be able to select from the new telemedicine visit types for billing
